Image shrinks then becomes normal size due to video card not seated properly.
Cause:
The video card is not properly seated in the port and not secured in place with a screw.
Solution:
Remove the base unit cover, properly seat the video card adapter, and replace the screw.
1) Turn off the computer.
CAUTION: The following procedure will expose the internal components to possible damage from Electrostatic Discharge (ESD). Observe ESD precautions whenever handling computer components.
2) Remove the computer cover.
3) Locate the video adapter card.
4) Remove the screw holding the video adapter card into place.
5) Gently remove the video adapter card from the port.
NOTE: DO NOT force or bend the video adapter card.
6) Gently reseat the video adapter card back into place.
7) To secure the video card insert and tighten the screw.
8) Test the video card to make sure it is properly seated:
a) Plug all power cords and cables into the appropriate places.
b) Turn on the computer and display unit.
c) Make sure that the image appears correctly on screen.
d) Repeat steps 1) through 8) until the video adapter card is properly seated.
9) Turn off the computer.
10) Disconnect all cables and cords.
11) Replace the computer cover.
